During our worship service the Scriptures will be read aloud followed by prayer, worship, singing hymns, collecting of tithes and offerings then the preaching of the Word of God followed by a closing song and prayer. We preach and teach through books of the Bible, making sure not to skim the text.
2 Timothy 4:2
Proclaim the message; persist in it whether convenient or not; rebuke, correct, and encourage with great patience and teaching.
Our time of worship on the Lord's Day is Christ centered and not man centered. Our prayer is that we glorify God while we gather together and worship Him corporately as a body of believers. We sing hymns, contemporary songs and have talented musicians, all to the glory of God. Mrs Fay Kelly is our music director and pianist. If you are interesting in joining our choir, she would love to talk with you.
Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Highview‘s youth ministries consists of youth from 5 years old up to 12th grade. We encourage and believe God’s design for the family is for the parents to be the primary teachers of God’s Word. We affirm what is being taught in family devotions.
19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 20 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,
Highview’s Nursery Ministry is for new Born babies up to 4 years old. Each servant leader has undergone mandatory background checks and we are always seeking ways to improve every aspect of this ministry to best minister to your child. Mrs Amanda Wilson is our Nursery Coordinator and this ministry is a calling she feels came from the Lord. Your child will be loved and cared for by sweet members of our fellowship.
2 Then He called a child to Him and had him stand among them. 3 “I assure you,” He said, “unless you are converted and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Our small groups Bible Study is sometimes called Sunday School and the majority of our small groups meet on the Lord’s Day at 9:45 - 10:40am. Each group is age appropriate unless we have a specific study group on a theme or doctrine of the Scriptures. We also have a group of believers that meet on Friday nights in our family life center for fellowship and Bible Study. Everyone is invited to come and be part of a small group. Our prayer is every member is part of a small group Bible Study.
2 Timothy 2:15
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
We have in America Amodern day holocust right under our noses and for the majority of Americans, it is out of sight, out of mind. We know it’s out there but if we don’t think about it, we dont feel convicted or saddened by the fact that millions of babies are being murdered in America on our watch.
We as a body of believers care for the unborn. We believe in the sanctity of life. We believe God is the author and finisher of life. This unique ministry is an outreach to the abortion clinics in and around Atlanta, Ga.
We feel strongly that the Scriptures command us to be the voice for those who cannot speak, but also proclaim the forgiveness that Christ offers to sinners. Our prayer as we minister at these clinics is not to condemn nor to stir up controversy but to plead, pray and proclaim truth during the conversations we have with the individuals who are seeking to abort their unborn child.
Rescue those being taken off to death, and save those stumbling toward slaughter
